Senior Scholarship

Northville Academic Games High established scholarship awards for high school seniors.  

Awards will be distributed once a year at our annual end of the year celebration gathering.  

All Academic Games seniors are encouraged to apply. 

 

There are two levels of awards:

- GOLD: 60 hours of volunteering service for Northville AG with minimum of 20 hours during fall coaching

minor or elementary teams;

- SILVER: 40 hours of volunteering service for the Northville AG.

 

Qualifications 

Must meet ALL requirements to be considered:

  • Current Northville AG seniors (not limited to Northville High School students) who are actively participating with Academic Games tournaments, or active student volunteers for Northville Academic Games.

  • Minimum 3 years membership in good standing with the NAG program.

  • Active players: minimum of 10 hours of volunteering service per year for the AG community

  • Active volunteers: minimum of 30 hours of volunteering service per year. Volunteer service includes AG summer camps, assisting coaches during school year, participating in Academic Games outreach programs, etc.

  • Demonstrated adherence to NAG core values of Passion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Fun.

  • Essay of 250-300 words describing what AG means to applicant. Seniors are welcomed to apply for MLAG and AGLOA scholarships concurrently.

The following activities will count towards the volunteering hours:

Volunteering service includes, but not limited to:

  • Assistance with summer camps;

  • Assistance in coaching sessions during school year;

  • Outreach programs that promote Academic Games; and

  • Any additional work to be considered for volunteering needs to be validated by the Northville Academic Games committee.

 

Application deadline March 1st

Individual amounts will vary, depending on number of selected applicants, with a minimum of $250 per individual.

The student must submit a completed application including an essay and volunteer hour log to his/her coaches,

or email to NorthvilleAcademicGames@gmail.com by March 1st for consideration.

 

Award will be presented at an annual AG End of the year celebration event.

Have coaches sign your form after each volunteer session.
